How are you actively and currently involved in same sex ballroom dance?

I've competed in the Gay Games in 1998 and 2002. I judged same sex country dancing at the Gay Games in 2006 and the Out Games in 2006 and 2009. I judged at the 5boro Competition in 2007 and the Orlando competition in 2008. I have also competed and judged several same sex country events for the International Association of Gay/Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs (IAGLCWDC).

What relevant leadership experience, such as serving on a board of a membership driven or non-profit organization and/or experience in helping to create such an organization, do you have?

I served as president of the National Dance Teachers Association for over 12 years. I am still currently on their board as their examinations director. I'm on two committees and serve as a delegate for the National Dance Council of America. I was the Director of Dance for IAGLCWDC for over 10 years and am now the Competition Director for IAGLCWDC. I chaired the committee that put together the rules and regulations and the format of the competitions IAGLCWDC runs yearly and the rules that were adopted by the Gay Games and the Out Games for their country western competitions.
