We agreed that all Yahoo Polls should be set up so that the board knows

We agreed to create a Policy and Procedures section on the website
with dates on each policy.

- DISCUSSION: Membership
- Proposed membership categories:
- Individual
- Organization
- Affiliate (non-voting)
We re-stated the definitions of Organization, Honorary and Affiliate
members:
- What is an Orangization Member?
- A dance club
- A dance studio
- An event organizing group
- Organizations must be represented by a designated individual
who has the power to vote on behalf of the organization (Designated
individual can also have an Individual membership in their
own name.)
- What is an Honorary Member? Someone who has:
- Made a significant and enduring contribution to the community
- Would receive the same benefits as an Individual Member
but would have dues waived
- It would be a lifetime membership
Affiliate members would be non-voting, non-dues paying individuals
or organizations who wish to be affiliated with NASSPDA.
- The following three items were voted on:
- Basic membership structure as outlined above (6 yea, 1 absent).
- Individual Membership dues of $30 / year (6 yea, 1 absent).
- Organization Membership dues of $100 / year (6 yea, 1 absent).
- Discussion moved on to the Rights, Privileges, and Responsibilities
of each category:
- Individuals:
- A vote
- Access to the North American Title
- Promotes and furthers same-sex dancing
- Optional white pages listing on website
- Others as yet unstated
- Possible discounts on NSAAPDA benefits such as yellow-pages
type listing
- Organizations:
- A vote
- Access to the same-sex dance community
- Events can be sanctioned
- Others as yet unstated
- Possible discounts on NSAAPDA benefits such as yellow-pages

Further discussion on Rights, Privileges, and Responsibilities is needed.
