  3. Reports and Discussions
    1. Logo development
      • Some designers have been contacted about developing a logo for NASSPDA. Logos could be used for different things, including a medal, letterhead, business cards, and the website. Some designs will be created for the Board to review.
    2. Los Angeles request for competition sanction
      • Discussed response to this request.
    3. Membership updates
      • Membership committee has had some discussion but no final conclusions have been reached. The membership committee will try its best to have some final proposals ready for our next conference call.
    4. Board and elections updates
      • No discussion. Committee will prepare a proposal for the next conference call.
    5. Classification/grading discussion and proposals for competition policies/guidelines
      • Postponed this pending further email discussion. The Board agreed to have this be a main focus of our next meeting.
    6. Frequency of North American title--annual or bi-annual?
      • Discussion on this question was postponed until a later date.
    7. Transgender
      • California Dreaming organizing committee is planning to meet with members of the Bay Area transgender community to discuss what is appropriate language for competition rules that would be inclusive of the trans community. A report will be made to the NASSPDA Board following that meeting.
    8. Website
      • Agreed that the NASSPDA competition sanctioning policy shall be posted on the website.
