Board Election 2012
Nominations & 2012 Election of NASSPDA's Board of Directors
It's that time of the year again!
Each Director of the Board serves a term of two years, which overlap with other members of the Board. This year the following three Board members are up for re-election: Lee Fox (Florida), Pat Hogan (Vancouver) and Christopher Kelleher (Massachusetts). NASSPDA wants to continue cultivating a diverse board, representative of partner dancers from all over North America. If partner dancing is important to you, please consider running for the Board or nominating someone who represents you.
A nominee must have an active NASSPDA membership and submit a photo, a Candidate Statement Form and two Supporters' forms (members can find nomination materials at www.nasspda.org/about/ (see Organizational).). Nominations should be sent to bsoencksen@nasspda.org and be received no later than February 26, 2012. Each nominee will be contacted via phone by NASSPDA's Secretary for a short interview. Once a nominee has been accepted, their name, photo and Candidate Statement will be included in the online ballot.
The Election will take place in March 2012, and every NASSPDA member will be sent an electronic link to the ballot. (People who have registered to vote via snail-mail will be sent a paper ballot.) Voting will close on March 18, 2012, and results announced by or before March 25, 2012 on NASSPDA's website..
